Dark Arts of Sanguine Rituals recorded, mixed & mastered

As many of you already know, Dark Arts of Sanguine Rituals was finally completed in October, 2017. The recording session for guitars and bass were conducted at Helsinki by Jesse. In August the band returned to Electric Fox and reamped guitars, recorded additional percussion parts and completed all vocal track. The mixing began immediately when all the tracks were completed.

Nino Laurenne of Sonic Pump Studios handled the mixing with Topias Kupiainen assisting. We aimed for as natural sound as possible, with no edits on drums, minimum triggering and using a lot of analogue gear. The mixing sessions took a week and both the engineers and the band were very satisfied with the results.

After the mixing sessions were done, mastering began at Virtalähde Mastering by Jaakko Viitalähde. The band did not attend to the sessions, but the results were great. The album was finally done! Currently we are living January 2018 and we are planning the release of the album. You can expect it to land in May at the latest. Few music videas are on the works, so you’ll hear some fresh tunes before the actual release.
